This course prepares the students for a versatile and challenging career in the Healthcare Industry, as and Administrative Medical Assistant. The course begins by assisting the student to examine learning styles and time management to afford them the ultimate advantage of having a positive learning experience. It also looks at the healthcare industry, past and present; the constant change and development of new technology and theories that make medicine an attractive option for career choices.

The course is divided into 6 units: Introduction to Medical Assisting; Administrative Medical Assisting; Financial Management; Medical Practive and Health Information Management; Assisting with Medical Specialties and Career Development. The course comprises a total of 171 hours, which includes 115 classroom hours and 56 hours lab practice. Estimated completion time of this course is 7 weeks.
